Paul Houston is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and a Russian-speaking Naval Intelligence veteran. After exiting the Navy, he earned an MBA in Finance from the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business. For the past 20 years he has been president of Results Management Consultants and Rivalscape, a management consulting firm he started that specializes in the field of corporate competitive intelligence and counterintelligence.

Paul also uses his intelligence skills in collection and analysis to work as a private investigator on complex commercial fraud issues, including asset investigations and skip tracing.

Paul comes from a long line of Republicans and supported John McCain in 2008. He came to support Amendment 64 because he is a common sense Republican who can recognize a wasteful and futile big government program when he sees one, and that’s exactly what marijuana prohibition is. So to Paul it’s just common sense to regulate it like alcohol.

Interestingly enough, his oldest son, Aaron, spoke before this group 15 years ago, at the age of 19, about the erosion of the Constitution and loss of State’s rights. That got him a good ovation, including from future Governor Bill Owens who was in the audience at the time.

Paul has lived in Colorado since 1979 where he and his wife Sharon raised four children. In fact his wife, Sharon Macdonald, was elected city-wide to both the Denver Election Commission and the Denver School Board in the 1990s . They have four grandchildren with a fifth due in less than three weeks.

Besides spoiling grandchildren, Paul’s hobbies include family history and genealogy research, distance swimming, and baseball. He is an inducted member of the Colorado Over 50 Baseball Hall of Fame.
